The £84/m 2000 Mbps download Virgin Media full-fibre service (200 Mbps upload as standard, with an option to increase upload to 2000 Mbps at £6/m) is now showing on the Virgin Media O2 website.
We’ve looked in several pre-existing nexfibre areas such as Scarborough, Lancaster, York and the very latest area to be added to our map of nexfibre XGS-PON coverage Exmouth and they are all showing the 2 Gbps full-fibre service. We thought that this might also mean the old Upp areas had also been integrated but it does not look like they have been on-boarded yet.
The footprint is growing daily and as of 9am on 14th February 2024 we had mapped 675,000 premises including the latest town we’ve spotted which is Exmouth. This means we’ve found an extra 131,000 premises during 2024 so far, and therefore talk of passing 1 million extra homes during 2024 is entirely reasonable rather than being idle speculation.
