Virgin Media is the UK’s incumbent cable operator know for its TV and broadband services. It has always aimed to stay ahead of Openreach in terms of raw headline speeds. It merged with O2 to become Virgin Media O2 to include mobile phone services. It is also upgrading its cable network to full fibre to deliver services beyond 1Gbps, including its access to the Nexfibre network.

G.Fast – IMPORTANT NOTE ON SPEEDS — This postcode is likely to get a G.Fast service which is a ‘part fibre’ service capable of much faster speeds as the fibre comes closer to your home than ‘FTTC’ however it is still dependent on the line length.
