A 220 Mbps fibre broadband option is now on its way to those parts of the UK where Openreach has rolled out its FTTP service with orders being accepted from 1st June 2013.

The Openreach fibre optic platform is continuing to grow at a rate of 100,000 to 200,000 premises a week, and has passed another milestone.

The UK is moving in the right direction and after these pilots around half the UK will have the option of full fibre to the home after Spring 2013.
