The Race to Infinity back in 2010/2011 was a small experiment where Openreach experimented with a demand led roll-out for a number of exchanges areas in conjunction with service providers. Alas not everything has worked out as hoped by residents.

A few days Openreach announced the names of the last 19 exchanges to be enabled in the commercial fibre roll-out, we now have published the list of where the infill work will be carried out.

The commercial roll-out of superfast services from Openreach still has a few tricks up its sleeve and one of these has now been dealt with the announcement of another nine exchanges which will be offering fibre based broadband.
