CityFibre rolling out more full fibre in rural Cambridgeshire

Project Gigabit CityFibre Build in Cambridgeshire

Hardwick and Comberton are two areas West of Cambridge that have recently received the CityFibre treatment and it looks likely that most of the footprint in the villages is part of Project Gigabit.

Hardwick in particular does have some Openreach full fibre but this is from 2014 and the postcodes and properties that Openreach never rolled out to are ones we are now seeing CityFibre availability.

The CityFibre rollout means symmetric full fibre is available from a range of retailers including, toob, Vodafone, Zen Internet, 4th Utility, Lit Fibre, Octaplus, TalkTalk, Cuckoo, iDNet, Rocket Fibre, A&A, Link Broadband, Brillband, Beebu, The One, VFast, Briant Broadband, Fusion Fibre Group, Fibre Hop, Utility Warehouse and MTH Networks. Maximum speeds top out at around 2.2 to 2.5 Gbps depending on which retailer people choose.
