CityFibre full-fibre mapped footprint passes three 3 million premises

CityFibre is holding on to its crown of the second largest wholesale full-fibre network in the UK with our mapping showing a footprint of 3,018,321 premises in the Ready for Service (RFS) state.

The postcodes covering these 3 million premises are on our maps, which show the city-based footprint in England and Scotland. 

With the way CityFibre declares its network figures they have likely built network out to more than 3.5 million premises now, but their RFS figures are always a few hundred thousand behind. So they declared a footprint of 3.37 million premises passed in the middle of December 2023 but just 3 million are fully ready for service (i.e. released to many retailers and installation is possible within a few days of ordering). We’ve taken our usual 4-5 weeks to catch up and sift through the many areas to see which are RFS and where they’ve passed but you cannot order e.g. private road or block of flats awaiting wayleave.
