TNT for those old enough to remember may be a blast from the past, but it is set to become part of the present again from July 2023.
A joint venture between Warner Bros. Discovery and BT was formed in September 2022 and this launch of TNT Sports is bringing together BT Sport and Eurosport UK into one brand.
The headline is often about football but there in addtion to the the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League there is the Olympic Games, Premiership Rugby, MotoGP, UFC, Boxing, WWE, tennis Grand Slams, cycling Grand Tours and the winter sports season. A current months BT Sport pass is £29.99 or if going to be regularly viewing a 24 month subscription is a more reasonable £10/m.
Sports events have been a regular fixture for triggering peak time traffic spikes, and streaming does bring competition to a market that had been increasingly dominated by Sky Sports.
Formed in the future?
What will this do to the price that I currently pay for BT Sport. £0.00 as part of a Business Broadband agreement. Will they try to renege?
From the article…
” A current months BT Sport pass is £29.99 or if going to be regularly viewing a 24 month subscription is a more reasonable £10/m.”
Worth noting that the aforementioned 24 month subscription at £10 a month is:
(a) a special offer available until the end of February
(b) only available for BT Broadband customers (either new or existing).

Nevertheless, given the unknown future pricing of TNT Sports, it could prove to be a good deal – even with two rounds of CPI+3.9% annual price rises. A bit of a throw of the dice really.
