The last two months has seen a progression of CityFibre wholesale options becoming available on the older LitFibre footprint as the result of CityFibre acquiring LitFibre. This has given a quick boost to the roll-out figures for CityFibre and also released a long list of broadband retailer options which for a random postcode in Watford is listed as Vodafone, No One, brillband, Octaplus, briant, Cuckoo, vfast broadband, brawband, IDNet, fusion fibre, A&A, Link Broadband, Lightning Fibre, fibrehop, Beebu, LitFibre, The One and 4th Utility.
Two of the last large areas of LitFibre footprint are now showing CityFibre availabilty and these are Watford and Cirencester. Fingers crossed the next month will see this conversion complete and then we can zero out the old LitFibre footprint.
St Albans is still seeing some additions but the acquistion and availability looked to have completed in the last few weeks, hence our expectation of the same for nearby Watford during January 2025.
The LitFibre conversion has brought the CityFibre footprint we have mapped as ready for service within 175,000 premises of 4 million premises with us mapping 24,000 premises since New Years Day.
