CityFibre has now completed most of its rollout in the eastern side of Luton, reaching a milestone of 35,000 premises ready for service. As CityFibre is a wholesale network, customers must order through a partner ISP such as Vodafone, TalkTalk, IDNet, Cuckoo and Zen Internet.
“We’re delighted to offer the people of Luton all the benefits of full fibre connectivity, with over 35,000 premises now Ready for Service. CityFibre’s investment in the town will allow more residents to unlock seamless homeworking, streaming and gaming. We would also like to thank residents for their patience as we have rolled out this essential digital infrastructure, which is set to benefit the local community for years to come.”
Neil Madle, CityFibre’s Partnership Manager for Luton
CityFibre are not the only alt-net building in the town with Grain also enabling some properties in the Bury Park area last month, and Openreach also deploying FTTP in the town. The CityFibre area has some overlap with Openreach, and Virgin Media also have extensive coverage. A couple of other operators also have networks here including, Glide and Hyperoptic.
When did they start digging? CityFibre dug here in Leamington/Warwik 18 months ago but we STILL can’t get any service.
