Wight Cable North re-branding to Smallworld

With the launch of Virgin Media, many think the UK has a single cable TV supplier, but this is not the case. Wight Cable North is still going and is in the middle of a re-branding exercise whereby their name will change to Smallworld. Wight Cable North provides a service in West Scotland and North England. A lot of people outside the coverage areas probably remember them as Omne.

The name change is also apparently linked to new High Definition TV digital set-top boxes and faster broadband services. A website providing more detail on Wight Cable while their main site undergoes its make-over is

brilliant news! lets see some faster services smallworld - your products already kick BT's competition out the window - truely unlimited/unshaped 8mbit/1mbit biz level service for 45quid/month...
