Additional Comments

The company offers a full range of broadband services, from standard fibre (FTTC) to full-fibre (FTTP) packages that deliver ultrafast speeds. BT’s newer Full Fibre plans provide a direct fibre connection to your home, giving download speeds up to 900 Mbps and upload speeds up to 110 Mbps. These are ideal for larger households, home offices, or anyone who regularly streams, games, or downloads large files. Even the standard fibre plans offer decent performance, with average speeds ranging from 36 Mbps to 74 Mbps.

One of BT’s key strengths is reliability. Its network is well-established and regularly maintained, with nationwide customer support available 24/7. The Smart Hub 2 router that comes with BT’s packages is designed to deliver strong Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home, and you can add Wi-Fi discs to eliminate dead spots if needed. BT also includes access to a huge network of public Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK, which can be useful when you’re on the move.

Customer service has improved in recent years, with BT now offering UK and Ireland-based call centres and online chat support. The MyBT app also makes it easy to check your connection status, run speed tests, or manage your account.

Overall, BT is a safe and dependable choice for broadband. It offers wide availability, strong performance, and a good balance of speed and service. While it might not be the cheapest option, BT’s experience, reliability, and extras make it a solid pick for households that want a well-supported, nationwide provider they can count on. Over priced, and favours new customers. I shall leave when contract ends

I live in Selsey, West Sussex, on the south coast. We are at the "end-of-the-line" as far as telecomms are concerned. The download speed is very, very variable. Sometimes it flies, but most of the time it crawls along. It is often too slow to stream a YouTube video without numerous stops to buffer. Subscribers to other providers in this area report the same problems.

Not bad but if you wish to complain it takes ages to find out how and which part of BT you need to complain to!

I switched to BT from Virgin 5 years ago when I moved to a new home not covered by Virgin. Since then I have had exemplary service from BT and whilst not as fast as my old ISP, the service has been reliable and I cant remember a day when it has gone down or slowed up. I'm on their unlimted 72mbps down service and speeds are pretty much that - occasionally dropping to 67mbps. But then I live only a stones throw (100yds) from their main exchange for the area.

The much maligned BT broadband and mobile service is not my experienced, quite the contrary, they have over a decade or more , when I have had a problem (either me or them) it has been resolved to our mutual satisfaction, one cant ask for better, cheaper maybe but not as good over time,I recommend BT 100%

BT BB is OVERPRICED & BT does not care about it's long standing loyal customers. ALL the best and cheapest deals are aimed at NEW customers, expecting the long standing customers to pay inflated high prices regardless. I shall be leaving as soon as my current contact ends.

I live on the South Coast, the end-of-the-line as far as BT is concerned. Their service is patchy at best, sluggish is their norm. For many months now there has been a proliferation of BT vans and workers attending various sites between our coastal village and the nearest main town. Maybe they are trying to fix things, but so far, nil result.

Never a constant speed and its certainly not as fast as-advertised and many times we have experienced the service just stopping completely which is so frustrating as we know it drops out as we have a outside camera which records 10 days of history but if we loose our internet then the camera is unable to record when the internet has failed so we know the the exact time and length each time we loose our internet connection
