Additional Comments

The company offers a full range of broadband services, from standard fibre (FTTC) to full-fibre (FTTP) packages that deliver ultrafast speeds. BT’s newer Full Fibre plans provide a direct fibre connection to your home, giving download speeds up to 900 Mbps and upload speeds up to 110 Mbps. These are ideal for larger households, home offices, or anyone who regularly streams, games, or downloads large files. Even the standard fibre plans offer decent performance, with average speeds ranging from 36 Mbps to 74 Mbps.

One of BT’s key strengths is reliability. Its network is well-established and regularly maintained, with nationwide customer support available 24/7. The Smart Hub 2 router that comes with BT’s packages is designed to deliver strong Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home, and you can add Wi-Fi discs to eliminate dead spots if needed. BT also includes access to a huge network of public Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK, which can be useful when you’re on the move.

Customer service has improved in recent years, with BT now offering UK and Ireland-based call centres and online chat support. The MyBT app also makes it easy to check your connection status, run speed tests, or manage your account.

Overall, BT is a safe and dependable choice for broadband. It offers wide availability, strong performance, and a good balance of speed and service. While it might not be the cheapest option, BT’s experience, reliability, and extras make it a solid pick for households that want a well-supported, nationwide provider they can count on. Service is ok, but I still dont get the promised speed and there is no option of upgrading as there is no fibre optic in the area

On a couple of occasions in the last month, the broadband/internet has dropped out altogether but not for long, just the message ‘no longer connected’ the only indicator of the loss of service

BT is VERY much OVER PRICED for what you get. New customers get very much better deals than long standing reliable ones - It seems VERY UNFAIR. I shall seriously consider transferring to a better provider when my contract ends

Speeds very good, connection reliable. I've had few occasions when I've needed to contact customer services, but when I have I've found them helpful and have resolved any issue to my satisfaction. The only time it was a bit tricky was when my contract was up for renewal when I had to make 3 separate tries at haggling to get a good deal, but in the end I did. So all round well pleased.

Had a small problem recently which was quickly resolved by BT. They have improved their service and are more customer focused I believe - however there is still a lot of fantasy with regards to download and upload speeds.
