Additional Comments

The company offers a full range of broadband services, from standard fibre (FTTC) to full-fibre (FTTP) packages that deliver ultrafast speeds. BT’s newer Full Fibre plans provide a direct fibre connection to your home, giving download speeds up to 900 Mbps and upload speeds up to 110 Mbps. These are ideal for larger households, home offices, or anyone who regularly streams, games, or downloads large files. Even the standard fibre plans offer decent performance, with average speeds ranging from 36 Mbps to 74 Mbps.

One of BT’s key strengths is reliability. Its network is well-established and regularly maintained, with nationwide customer support available 24/7. The Smart Hub 2 router that comes with BT’s packages is designed to deliver strong Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home, and you can add Wi-Fi discs to eliminate dead spots if needed. BT also includes access to a huge network of public Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK, which can be useful when you’re on the move.

Customer service has improved in recent years, with BT now offering UK and Ireland-based call centres and online chat support. The MyBT app also makes it easy to check your connection status, run speed tests, or manage your account.

Overall, BT is a safe and dependable choice for broadband. It offers wide availability, strong performance, and a good balance of speed and service. While it might not be the cheapest option, BT’s experience, reliability, and extras make it a solid pick for households that want a well-supported, nationwide provider they can count on. I've been with BT many years - aside from an odd glitch now and then, they've been very good. Occasionally there's an admin problem, but by & large I'm quite happy. and see no reason to change providers. Could do with being a little cheaper - but hey... 80/20 package typically 69/18 - which is fine.

The "Stay at Home" lock down and subsequent vast increase in home computers has had a major effect on the available speed of BT broadband where I live in Selsey, but there has been no interruption of service, for which I am grateful.

My BT Ultrafibre service has been excellent during these difficult times. I get a regular 140Mbs down and 30Mbs up measured at all times if the day. Very stable. Video conferencing whilst famtdo university on line work and lectures. As well as Netflix and other online TV. Thank you BT

Of late the service has been dropping out more than ever. I> suppose it is the people working from home, and gamers that are causinf the overload. Im unimpressed that my speed is 40.7 / 9.9 at the moment when new subscxribers are being quoted 66 downlaod - although I realise that is merely a maximum theoretically possible speesd and not the guaranteed service level.

The lockdown has had a bid effect on all ISPs but BT have continued to provide a reasonable service. B'band speed suffers because of the high level of usage but I can have a Zoom meeting with friends without any problems. BT has done well so far.
