Additional Comments

The company offers a full range of broadband services, from standard fibre (FTTC) to full-fibre (FTTP) packages that deliver ultrafast speeds. BT’s newer Full Fibre plans provide a direct fibre connection to your home, giving download speeds up to 900 Mbps and upload speeds up to 110 Mbps. These are ideal for larger households, home offices, or anyone who regularly streams, games, or downloads large files. Even the standard fibre plans offer decent performance, with average speeds ranging from 36 Mbps to 74 Mbps.

One of BT’s key strengths is reliability. Its network is well-established and regularly maintained, with nationwide customer support available 24/7. The Smart Hub 2 router that comes with BT’s packages is designed to deliver strong Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home, and you can add Wi-Fi discs to eliminate dead spots if needed. BT also includes access to a huge network of public Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK, which can be useful when you’re on the move.

Customer service has improved in recent years, with BT now offering UK and Ireland-based call centres and online chat support. The MyBT app also makes it easy to check your connection status, run speed tests, or manage your account.

Overall, BT is a safe and dependable choice for broadband. It offers wide availability, strong performance, and a good balance of speed and service. While it might not be the cheapest option, BT’s experience, reliability, and extras make it a solid pick for households that want a well-supported, nationwide provider they can count on. Generally speaking, I am very happy with BT. Their only "failure" is that sometimes the admin leaves a lot to be desired. The performance is consistenly what I expect with, thus far, no serious interruption of service.

After years of terrible internet with highs of about 9meg and lows of 3meg I am pleased to say BT have smashed it by offering me 900meg down and 120 up, I live in a small village and cannot believe how lucky I am. I would also like to say that customer support from BT is also at a new level, I get UK based support who know what they are talking about and adapt to your level of knowledge, I am so glad to be back

Recently upgraded to fibre to the premises. Aftertwo missed appointments it was finally installed. Works fine 150/30 service but the numerous long phone calls to get there were a pain. Only had credit for missed appointments after another phone call. Forget about automatic compensation - does not exist in my experience. Still waiting on the compensation from Openreach for the three week delay in connection. Separating Openreach from BT has had one benefit for BT - they now have someone to blame when things go wrong!

Since moving to the BT G.Fast service, the connection and reliability has been excellent. We did have a totally dead line / loss of broadband, but from reporting the fault and being fixed was only around 3 hours ! Well done BT.

Reliability and support very good. Speed is hopeless - Gigaclear to be installed in 2 weeks time. At last!

The full fibre has been very reliable, minus a Huawei power adapter for the OpenReach modem dying on me. Called customer services and they were extremely helpful with no heavy accents! Solved the issue next day.

BT gets a lot of flak. My experience suggests it is unjustified, unless I have just been very lucky. I have no complaints whatsoever - speeds are good, no technical issues and if you sign up at the right time (they have frequent offers) you can always secure a decent price. The only time I've had need to call BT is to negotiate a new deal and I've always been happy with the outcome.

BT is overpriced & does not care about it's longstanding loyal customers. It tries to attract new customers with cheap give away deals. Customer service is non existent.
