TOTSCo appoint Tim Stranack to the Board

TOTSCo have announced a new board appointment of Tim Stranack, Co-Founder and Director of Community Fibre. Tim has served as chair of the INCA board previously and is also a current member of the ISPA Council.

Virgin Media increases annual in-contract price rises

Virgin Media has updated its website to show that in-contract price rises will now increase by £4/month every April across their broadband products, increasing from £3.50 previously charged. This follows EE/BT, which increased its price to £4/per month in July.

Broadband provider Aquiss has launched Gigaclear products

Aquiss has announced that it has partnered with Gigaclear to provide full fibre broadband packages to over 650,000 premises in the UK via the Gigaclear FTTP network. The company also partners with FibreHeroes, Freedom Fibre, CityFibre and Openreach. All products are symmetrical and start from £42/month for a 200Mbps service with 50% off for the first 3 months.

Disney+ increases streaming prices by £1 or £2/month

The Disney+ streaming service, a favourite of many children and parents due to its large film selection, has announced that prices are soon to rise by £1/month for ad-free and Standard, or £2/month for the Premium package. Annual prices will also go up by £10 a month for Standard or £20 for Premium.
