Additional Comments

At its core, Aquiss delivers via established infrastructure to maximise reliability and reach. For broader accessibility, it uses Openreach's FTTC (fibre to the cabinet) under SoGEA technology-eliminating the need for a traditional phone line, providing superfast speeds suitable for most households. Where available, Aquiss shines with full fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) partnerships, including CityFibre's expansive urban networks, Gigaclear's rural expansions, and Netomnia's high-capacity deployments. These enable symmetrical ultrafast connections, supporting everything from 4K streaming and video calls to large file transfers without compromise. Unlimited data allowances are standard across all packages, with no artificial caps or peak-hour slowdowns, ensuring consistent performance even in multi-device environments. Aquiss also caters to businesses with leased lines for dedicated, ultra-reliable bandwidth.

Contracts are straightforward 12-month terms, promoting flexibility without aggressive lock-ins, and include free activation plus professional installation where fibre entry is required. Aquiss empowers users by defaulting to bring-your-own-router (BYOR) setups, supplying PPPoE authentication credentials and detailed configuration guides for popular models. This appeals to savvy customers customising networks, while static IPv4 addresses and native IPv6 support come built-in, essential for hosting servers, remote access, or IoT ecosystems. Optional VoIP telephony integrates smoothly for voice services over the broadband line, keeping setups modern and cable-free

Fibre broadband coverage is nationwide but tech-dependent: Openreach FTTC blankets most postcodes, while FTTP hotspots concentrate in altnets' growth areas like the Midlands, South West, and emerging city fringes-always verify via their postcode checker for the best fit.

Great speed and really low ping times. Bit pricey, but looks to be worth it.

Really pleased with the connection so far, no dropouts or issues. Martin and his team were fantastic from signup to activation day, and even post activation Martin was very helpful. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Aquiss are the best ISP we've used at our businesses (and homes) over the last two decades and I have no hesitation in recommending them to friends and peers (not our competitors though - I suggest they sign long contracts with TalkTalk, BT/OR, Sky or Three). Down/Upload speeds are bang on what is advertised, consistently and reliably. Aquiss support is outstanding. They are proactive jumping on any issues, and then continue to press on to get things fully resolved. Rather than pass-the-buck, blame upstream etc. they identify what has has gone wrong and then work to make sure that gets fixed, quickly. Their commitment to customers goes way beyond the service hours they advertise (under promise...over deliver). eg, the last "outage" was snagged at 1725, reported just after 1800, by 1830 Aquiss had an OR technician arranged for 0800-1100 next morning (ie +14hrs) - when OR arrived at 0825 someone had had undone the breakage overnight in the exchange/line and NFF was logged (soggy rain-jacket drying in the exchange is one of my guesses). Aquiss are able to discern the nonsense from suppliers, escalate and put them straight; such as OR claiming they need specialist lifting equipment (with nearly a month delay to an install) for a conventional property in the heart of a major capital city [bonus bad service points for OR failing to show up/notify on the Saturday arranged]. Aquiss billing is clear, prompt, efficient and straight-forward - it runs like clockwork and the information is exactly what is needed to satisfy an accountant or an expense authoriser. That seems ridiculous to type, but try getting an actual VAT Invoice from some suppliers, even those that show +20% VAT each month and then include the rider "This is NOT a VAT invoice"! Or try transferring three lines to a 2nd tier ISP and then spend 18 months trying to get the billing straight, so each number matches the delivery location, and each location matches the occupant, and each occupant matches their own VAT number (or otherwise) and stays set in future months to the 24 month term. A helpful/courtesy call from Martin the MD is the cherry on the cake.

Aquiss have been around for decades as a straight talking, service focussed ISP. Martin and the team have been on the evolution journey from dial up through leased lines and FTTP for both consumers and business users alike. Thet know the industry well and understand the needs of customers. If things do go wrong, they are knowledgeable and react swiftly to deliver resolutions. Not a budget provider in any way, but if service and quality are your top priorities then Aquiss is a very good choice.

At time of writing, I have been with Aquiss for 3 months and am very satisfied with their FTTP service via Openreach. Speed is consistently 930+ down and 95+ up at the router. Customer service has been excellent, with extremely knowledgeable staff. They don't supply a router which needs to be borne in mind if you don't have one or are not comfortable in setting one up.

Aquiss are a great ISP with the best customer service I have known from an ISP. They are always very quick to respond to tickets, and go the extra mile to ensure problems have been resolved satisfactorily
