Gigaclear limited launch of 3Gbps product

Broadband alternative Gigaclear has launched a new 3Gbps broadband service called the Nova 3000, although it appears to be in a pre-launch phase with availability limited to select households. We haven’t yet mapped where these are, but have added the product with some caveats to our package listings.If you are currently on the 900 Mbps product and want to upgrade, the company is currently offering 3 months free to new customers, although noteworthy, they offer 6 months free on an 18-month contract for a 900 Mbps service, which is also amazing value.

Broadband providers are increasingly targeting the post-gigabit product portfolio in an attempt to increase their margins. We know from industry sources that users on faster 900 Mbps packages don’t necessarily consume that much more data than those on, say, 500 Mbps packages. We suspect that those on 3 Gbps services will use more data due to the profile of the user (willing to pay a premium for the service). However, this is unlikely to be of concern to the provider in terms of margins.

Gigaclear, whose CEO claims to be a gamer himself looking forward to the launch of the next episode of the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) franchise has no doubt chosen 3Gbps as a service as it’s above the 2.3–2.5Gbps offered by more networks.

See if you are able to get this service, visit their homepage and put your postcode and identify your property on their postcode search, and a 3Gbps product may then be shown. We have heard from users that it may be possible to contact Gigaclear by phone to ask them to make this available to you.
