toob has announced it is spending £7.5 million to build its FTTP network in the Fleet, Hampshire area. It aims to cover 19,000 homes with the build looking to also cover Church Crookham and to start building in the coming weeks. This is part of the work to expand the toob network to cover around 300,000 premises, and the company has £160 million of funding available to support this. Toob launched in 2019 and is based in the South of England, predominantly Hampshire. It currently passes around 140,000 premises and claims around 20,000 customers connected across Southampton, Camberley, Aldershot, Farnborough, Fareham and Gosport. Toob also has a wholesale deal with CityFibre allowing it to connect customers in adjacent areas to its own network, including Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
As of late May 2023, we track toob as having around 67,000 premises on-net coverage, which increases to around 124,000 when you include their deal with CityFibre for access to their network in Portsmouth.

toob will be up for some competition in Fleet, as based on its future build map, they will be overbuilding Openreach, Hyperoptic and OFNL who all have networks active in the area. Virgin Media also cover the majority of the build area with their gigabit cable network and also has some RFOG infill in areas.
