Sky Business new deal with ITS

Sky Business and business broadband provider ITS have reached an agreement that will see Sky Business offering the ITS ethernet product to business customers.

The ITS network and its Ethernet services serve around a quarter of all UK commercial premises. There was a previous agreement made four years ago that gave ITS access to Sky infrastructure. Many people reading this will be wondering what Sky infrastructure is out there, this is referring to the extensive backhaul network that Sky runs and will have helped ITS concentrate on the local connectivity for commercial premises.

Sky Business’s new partnership agreement with ITS will enable us to expand our reach and introduce an exciting new offering to deliver a robust network experience for more businesses across the UK. This means we are now uniquely positioned to provide our customers with a broader, combined infrastructure, underpinned by the best of both networks and our best-in class service wrap.

Damian Saunders, Managing Director, Sky Business Hospitality, Mid-Market & Wholesale

We are delighted to forge this new agreement with Sky Business which creates a reciprocal relationship, building on our existing partnership. We have invested heavily in our full fibre infrastructure which has been designed and is being rolled out specifically to serve businesses across the UK. Driving business full fibre uptake through Tier 1 partners is at the heart of our growth strategy as we work towards our ambition to be the UK’s best option for last mile business-grade connectivity

Daren Baythorpe, CEO at ITS

The business broadband market can be very different to the consumer market, with the extra’s such as managed firewall, resilience and support for remote workers often being as important as the speed of the connection. It is also one that is highly competitive as business customers often have a tendency to stay in contract longer, so long as the service continues to work, where as the consumer arena often has less loyalty.
