You can tell an election is looming when everyone is trying to ensure that their corner of the political landscape is seen as a success and for those in rural areas helped by the BDUK this may be the case, but those still waiting will see it as a failure.

The Essex broadband project was one of a number of phase 1 projects that was never aiming to hit the 90% superfast target, but if the press release is correct this is being addressed in the phase 2 project.
