North Yorkshire started the BDUK ball rolling with the first cabinet in December 2012 and has now delivered its 1000th cabinet and completed the original roll-out.

We published the news that BT had been signed by Nottinghamshire County Council to extend superfast broadband coverage and we now have the details.

Another chunk of the UK has signed with BT to extend superfast coverage further, the ConnectedCounties project is a combined effort from Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

Hopefully one the General Election is over we can go back to proper press releases rather than the nod and wink system as council's sign the contracts to extend superfast coverage.

Hampshire may have reached its goal for the financial year 2014-2015, but there is still some roll-out to go and planning for the second wave to further increase superfast coverage is underway.
