Ofcom has given an update on the AVS Group investigation in relation to breaches of the Online Safety Act. We covered details on this originally here. Starlink has applied to Ofcom for two new gateway licenses to run earth stations that connect to its LEO satellites. It plans to use these gateways to improve the capacity and the resilience of its existing satellite services that it provides to UK customers. Details on the consultation are available on the Ofcom website.
Brsk starting to migrate customers over to YouFibre brand
ISPreview have seen a copy of an e-mail from Brsk to its customers detailing that they will be moved over to YouFibre from next week. There is no change in existing broadband package pricing, speeds, or contract term and existing customers using the Netgem TV service will be able to continue with this, although new customers will not be able to order it.
