BT have recently released Sin346 which documents the electrical interface of their splitter that is attatched to the master
phone socket to seperate ADSL and voice from the phone line. It states the specification required for any device ADSL modem that would be plugged into ADSL modem socket. Could this be a step
forward for BT giving information on their system so that we can purchase our own equipment to connect to the network, or just notification to industry providers of the ADSL equipment so that BT
can, in time, use more than one provider of ADSL modems?
The sin document can be found at the BT Sinet website with a URL of http://www.sinet.bt.com/346v1.pdf
