The offer that was announced on 17th November 2006 for Plusnet by BT has had all of its conditions satisfied or waived. The announcement can be read on the London Stock Exchange website.
With this purchase now heading towards completion Plusnet customers will be wondering what is in store, to this end Plusnet has published details of what the acquisition will bring and other plans
for 2007. The 2007 plan can be read in full at www.plus.net. A number of the points are summarised below:
- ongoing improvement of customer support
- incremental increases in central capacity, and improvements to network management systems
- new next-generation email platform
- replacement of the ‘You Stay We Pay’ payment scheme (deferred hardware costs/activation fee scheme)
- new products as a result of convergence with BT Retail, e.g. BT HomeHub, BT Fusion and BT Vision

Maybe this will mean PlusNet customer won’t have any issues with loss of e-mail any more :-p
