Additional Comments

IDNet’s plans are designed for people who value a stable and quality connection, low latency and strong customer service. Many of its users are remote workers, gamers or small business owners who need consistent speeds rather than headline numbers that drop off at busy times.

One of the most appealing things about IDNet is the way it handles contracts. Customers can choose short or longer terms, and the company promises no price rises during the agreed period. They also offer static IP addresses as standard, which is quite rare for a home broadband service, and their support team is based in the UK. Reviews often highlight how quickly internet connection problems are resolved and how knowledgeable the technical support staff are, which is a refreshing change compared with larger providers where you might be passed between departments.

In terms of performance, the service tends to live up to its claims. Because IDNet uses full fibre networks, the connection runs directly into the home and avoids the bottlenecks seen with older copper-based setups. Upload speeds match downloads, which is especially useful for video calls, cloud backups or sharing large files. Installation is generally straightforward, and customers tend to say that engineers turn up on time and do a tidy job. Once connected, the speed and reliability remain steady and a good service is provided even when several people are online at once.

We've been with IDNet since 2007 and wouldn't dream of changing. Everything just works.

Pretty poor when you need them

Generally a good service without any issues except the speed has dropped since first had the gigabit download/upload service installed nearly three years ago. Not long after installation, just a few months, I complained to iDNet that I was not getting near the gigabit speed, tested via Ethernet. It’s still not the speed I expect for payment for such a service around 600mb download. In the last two years the speed has been very low. I’m now looking for a provider that delivers a better service.

I’ve been with IDNet now for many years - not much to report as things rarely go wrong and when they do the support team are quick to fix and usual is OpenReach issue anyway. This is a broadband service that does what you want - it works, is reliable, not cost not bloated like BT. I have no hesitation recommending.

I have been with IDnet now for a little over 1 year, and the Broadband service received has been consistent with no faults or outages to report. My broadband package is Full fiber 920mpbs/115mbps and the speed recieving according to SamKnows Whitebox: 959/117 during off-peak hours and 914/108 during peak times. Really happy with the service and really over the moon to have found a broadband provider that does not increase prices for the duration of your contractual term. I Would highly recommend IDnet to Friends and family that have full fibre via Openreach or Cityfibre.

IDnet. Ultra reliable, can't remember when I had an outage. Speed as steady as a rock. Customer service is difficult to rate because I so seldom have to use it. On the rare occasions that I have had to, it was quick and efficient
