Additional Comments

The company offers a full range of broadband services, from standard fibre (FTTC) to full-fibre (FTTP) packages that deliver ultrafast speeds. BT’s newer Full Fibre plans provide a direct fibre connection to your home, giving download speeds up to 900 Mbps and upload speeds up to 110 Mbps. These are ideal for larger households, home offices, or anyone who regularly streams, games, or downloads large files. Even the standard fibre plans offer decent performance, with average speeds ranging from 36 Mbps to 74 Mbps.

One of BT’s key strengths is reliability. Its network is well-established and regularly maintained, with nationwide customer support available 24/7. The Smart Hub 2 router that comes with BT’s packages is designed to deliver strong Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home, and you can add Wi-Fi discs to eliminate dead spots if needed. BT also includes access to a huge network of public Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK, which can be useful when you’re on the move.

Customer service has improved in recent years, with BT now offering UK and Ireland-based call centres and online chat support. The MyBT app also makes it easy to check your connection status, run speed tests, or manage your account.

Overall, BT is a safe and dependable choice for broadband. It offers wide availability, strong performance, and a good balance of speed and service. While it might not be the cheapest option, BT’s experience, reliability, and extras make it a solid pick for households that want a well-supported, nationwide provider they can count on. I have the-contracted with BT for their full fibre 100 service. This is for the guaranteed service, but I actually get 140Mb/s down and 31Mb/s up. Another two years. Price reduction. Service has been very reliable and performant. Took out just before Covid hit and have been able to work from home and do all the streaming services. Thanks BT

Broad band keeps dropping out at regular times during the day. Virtually impossible to be able to talk to anyone.

New contract, same price as old one now Fibre 1 and 700 minutes instead of 500!

We've had BT FTTC for 9 years. The whole period has only experience 1 days network loss. During that time, I've had 3 BT Hub upgrades, and only needed to pay the delivery. It serves us brilliantly well

Still OVER PRICED with little regard for loyal longstanding customers. There are MUCH BETTER & Cheaper providers out there, I MUST switch to a better more caring provider.

Over priced, over-hyped - BAD customer service - BT Should take more notice of what the opposition are offering, and what the customer wants. CUT THE GLITTER & GET BACK TO BASICS

Service struggles to maintain minimum service requirement of 100mbps, whilst it has on occasion run up to 128mbps the normal seems to be somewhere in the 90's. In discussion with an engineer he admitted that speeds on GFast were very variable and that they were only a temporary solution until the implementation of full fibre.

Too slow. A lot of buffering when downloading emails
