Additional Comments

The company offers a full range of broadband services, from standard fibre (FTTC) to full-fibre (FTTP) packages that deliver ultrafast speeds. BT’s newer Full Fibre plans provide a direct fibre connection to your home, giving download speeds up to 900 Mbps and upload speeds up to 110 Mbps. These are ideal for larger households, home offices, or anyone who regularly streams, games, or downloads large files. Even the standard fibre plans offer decent performance, with average speeds ranging from 36 Mbps to 74 Mbps.

One of BT’s key strengths is reliability. Its network is well-established and regularly maintained, with nationwide customer support available 24/7. The Smart Hub 2 router that comes with BT’s packages is designed to deliver strong Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home, and you can add Wi-Fi discs to eliminate dead spots if needed. BT also includes access to a huge network of public Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK, which can be useful when you’re on the move.

Customer service has improved in recent years, with BT now offering UK and Ireland-based call centres and online chat support. The MyBT app also makes it easy to check your connection status, run speed tests, or manage your account.

Overall, BT is a safe and dependable choice for broadband. It offers wide availability, strong performance, and a good balance of speed and service. While it might not be the cheapest option, BT’s experience, reliability, and extras make it a solid pick for households that want a well-supported, nationwide provider they can count on. For me BT has been very reliable with download speeds of 72mbp as I would expect. Like ever thing, more would be better but the question of cost raises its ugly face.

I have BT Fibre 900. Since install it has performed well, upload and download speeds are excellent. Customer support is exvellent too, had some issues and they weredealt with efficiently and speedily. Anytime I placed a support reequest I received a callback within 30 minutes. Just carried out a speedtest Download speeds are better that they have been for days......at 6.1! Upload is 0.2. Both are unacceptable. I used to get 8 but this has deteriorated. R100 says that I should have had FTTP "in the second half of 2022... That hasn't happened. I'm trying to be patient, but it is difficult when the BB is so slow...Tried to change my products on the BT website, but it says that it was going to the address nextdoor. Not Happy at present!

I’ve been a customer for many years and have 95% of the time very happy with the service received from BT internet.

The download speed is fine except when it suddenly goes off, some times only for a few seconds, do not always see it on the computer but my phone, at home tells me it has lost the signal. Not for long but it is a nuisance.
lelboy 20 Dec 2022 (reviewed 3 years ago)
No problems at all. In the many years I have been with BT, there have only been a few admin errors, that gave me a problem. Happy with the service? Yes. Are there cheaper providers? Yes. But I'm happy with the devil that I know.

I am close to my green cabinet which is just outside the main exchange and so I get good speeds and reliability. Not had any need to contact customer service so can not rate.
