With us finding an extra 309,508 premises where Openreach FTTP is available to order it has been a busy month mapping all the additions.

Freedom Fibre has won the eight Project Gigabit contract with the aim of building FTTP to around 12,000 homes or businesses in North Shropshire.

Openreach has added another 10 areas to its massive list of build locations. While the build list is around 2,800 locations long it will no doubt continue to grow as the ambition is a footprint of 25 million premises passed in a few years

The last month has seen our tracking of the Openreach FTTP footprint grow by 265,394 premises to give a footprint of 10,046,118 premises.

Openreach announced on 22nd March 2023 that its FTTP roll-out had reached 10 million premises and our tracking of their roll-out now confirms this.

The village of Yaxley on the outskirts of Peterborough saw CityFibre start its build in June 2022 and nine months later they are declaring the main build complete.

One of the latest Openreach announcements on its FTTP roll-out is stating they have covered around 33% of Essex with full fibre and we agree with our figures showing 33.54% of Essex has Openreach FTTP available.

The first ten million premises passed by Openreach FTTP may be four times more than its the second largest network but is just a milestone on the way to building to some 25 million premises.

It should not be a surprise to anyone following our data as we broke the 800,000 point for Openreach FTTP in Scotland in the middle of February 2023.

Time for our monthly summary of what Openreach full fibre we've been able to find. With a footprint of 9,780,724 premises passed and our usual lag of a lag few weeks we expect Openreach to formally announce passing the ten million premises milestone very soon.
