Stuart Anderson who is the MP for Wolverhampton South West has been given the tour of cabinets and exchange building for the CityFibre FTTP network in Wolverhampton.

Another day, another town residents have complained about a telecoms pole that Openreach was about to erect in Rogers Meadow, Marlborough.

Fern Trading announced a consolidation of its full-fibre networks back in February 2023 and we now know what brand the three different networks will retail and wholesale under.

After a sub-par month last month in terms of the amount of Openreach FTTP we were able to find, things have improved with the footprint increasing by 262,912 premises passed.

19 new areas are set to an extensive build for full-fibre from Openreach, which is available via a very long list of retailers. We look at what FTTP is available in these areas already.

CityFibre continues to build FTTP and they say they are on course to build to 1 million premises in 2023, matching what they built in 2022.

CityFibre has announced its build in Wath Upon Dearne in Rotherham is underway with work carried out by Heneghan & Sons.

While the Openreach FTTP is still growing, July proved to be below average for the amount we were able to find at 227,634 premises added in 31 days.

A network build from toob will enable around 32,000 premises in Woking to gain access to fibre broadband from the alt-net toob, with the first customers expected to go live by the end of the year.
