Protracted TalkTalk speculation might see progress on Thursday

Sky News is reporting that current Ares Management is a leading contender to take control of the TalkTalk consumer division.

The situation with TalkTalk has been an ongoing subject of various bids/takeovers but this reported £200 million deal might turn into something more concrete on Thursday.

Over time various blocks of TalkTalk customers have been sold to other parties, which has helped some smaller providers grow in size. The precise number of customers remaining with TalkTalk is unclear due to this transactions but it is thought to have around 1.5 million customers of its consumer division. So any purchase is going to be a big change in the UK market.
