CityFibre have announced that their rollout of 10 Gbps XGS-PON has enabled them to increase the coverage of their Business Ethernet services to over 260,000 UK businesses, up from 80,000. The new FTTP technology that they are rolling out across the network incorporates a dedicated Business Ethernet platform from Calix. To help support businesses, they are also introducing a ‘delivery assurance guarantee’ to try to provide certainty for new installations.

The CityFibre Ethernet products offer speeds up to 1 Gbps symmetric with 24×7 support and a 5-hour repair SLA as standard, and they say they have prices up to 20% cheaper than major competitors.
