ISPA Awards 2010: Finalists Announced

The Internet Services Providers’ Association (ISPA UK) has announced the
finalists in the twelve categories that make up the ISPA Awards. The winners
will be announced at a black tie dinner at the Grosvenor Marriott Hotel on 8th
July 2010.

In the majority of categories, including broadband, finalists are chosen
based on three months of testing by Epitiro. The winners for the main
categories will be selected by a panel chaired by our very own Andrew Ferguson.
The Digital Inclusion category is judged separately by Race Online 2012.

More information on the awards event can be found at www.ispaawards.org.uk.

Reply to “ISPA Awards 2010: Finalists Announced”

  1. What a load of Bollocks. Someone getting a back hander here me thinks

  2. Ironic KC/Karoo are in there when locally we have no choice of ISP. We have noone to compare them too!

  3. I’ve always found the nominees list of the ISPA awards a little suspect.
No offence to New Net, but they’re not exactly setting the world alight…

  4. I find this useless the Only ISPs that will serve my house are BT or ”The Post office” Live in a valley, so no mobile signel.

  5. @gobbybobby – Lots of ISPs resell BT Wholesale services and can add value. The service isn’t the same as BT Retail.. You do have choice..

  6. Boggits yeah i recognise the chair, i was gonna get the same one from Staples.

Anyways i cant understand how Virgin made in it there for customer service LOL!

  7. In addition to what others have said, the mobile broadband category is wrong as well, O2 and Orange do not beat Vodafone.

O2 caps mobile speed (dongle is ~5 times faster).

    Orange is well….Orange.

  8. Seriously … Zen not appearing on any of the lists for customer service???

  9. Really surprised that Vispa is still mentioned, and for security at that – they have been blacklisted so many times in the last 12 months that this nomination belies belief – further their spam filter really doesn’t add any real value as the number of false positives and vice versa ensures that it has to be ignored.

  10. These awards are always a joke so wouldn’t pay much attention to the choices

  11. Re my post above, noticed that once again Vispa’s mail servers are blacklisted again today – JDPower, I fully endorse yr post.
