Ace Internet ceases trading

Ace Internet has had a bumpy month or two, so perhaps it is not without total surprise that they have decided to cease trading. The providers website carries full details at www.ace-internet.co.uk.

We are sad to inform you that Ace Internet has now ceased trading.

Unfortunately due to increased competition and recent events, it is no longer viable for us to continue to provide services.

We would like to thank all our customers, both past and present, for your custom and support over the last 9 years.
. . .
ADSL customers
Your ADSL account is now being billed and supported by Entanet International Ltd.

For support, please contact them on 0870 224 3494,
And for billing and customer service, on 0870 777 4224

Whilst the service you receive will be maintained by Enta, should you wish to change ISP, we have already generated a MAC code for you, which you can find by logging in at:

So are ex-Ace customers with Entanet directly now, i.e. not through a reseller?

Surely these customer's should be provided with the facility to obtain a MAC and get out of any minimum term contract - can anyone provide any insight?

CaptainW, If you read the above info which is an extract from www.ace-internet.co.uk, you will see that customers have already got a MAC code, they just need to log into http://customers.aceinternet.co.uk and it will be there for them.....

Well dunno what happened to my original comment which basically said good riddence to them, but back on topic.
The real issue i would have thought is if ACE internet bill in advance like most do are they going to refund people for any internet time they have paid for but wont get... I sincerly doubt it given the shady past and present of the individual in charge of ACE.
