We are again seeing more price movement in the downward direction for SDSL based connections. Today sees Eclipse Internet announce price drops that bring its price for a 2Mbps symmetrical broadband connection
down to £225 per month from £340.

For companies signing up to the SDSL services with Eclipse before 2006 on a 1Mbps or 2Mbps service, there is the further incentive of free connection, and equipment.
“Despite BT’s recent comments questioning the development of this key market, we can confirm our commitment to developing it further. We have seen
significant interest in SDSL connections and a growing base of customers who have moved across as they have realised the positive impact that it can have on their business.
By changing our pricing, we expect to see more interest from businesses who realise that as well as being competitive on price – we can also provide them with the technical
support and proper customer care that they may not find with other providers.”
