Blocked cable ducts strike again

SamKnows has highlighted some bad news for another exchange – Thurlaston. The RFS date for
the exchange has shifted from 27th October to 8th December 2004.

The reason for the delay is because a cable duct is blocked. Blocked cable ducts usually mean delays in getting the necessary backhaul fibre to an exchange. Unblocking the duct is often a case of
digging up a road to remove the obstruction or reconstruct the duct.

Bad news for another exchange, Sambrook has had its RFS date delayed from 27th October to 17th December 2004.
