The service is reliable, and the speed is in line with the speed advertised. We did have a problem however during a recent house move. We notified BT in good time once the date was confirmed, hoping to have the service set up in our new property the day after we moved in. It was only a week later that we received a text to say that it had taken longer than expected to set up the service for the new property. We wondered what was going on, so we called them and were told that the order we'd placed hadn't gone through because of a problem with their system. The order was reinstated, but by that time the earliest available completion date was 4 days later than we'd originally wanted. They sent us a mini hub to tide us over for broadband, but this shouldn't really have happened. We wondered when they would have got round to contacting us about the problem had we not called them... On the good side, since the service went live we've been very happy with it.

BT is not the cheapest but I have had no problems so can’t really comment on customer service. I am on fibre to cabinet and because I am close to the green box I get good speeds which are fine for what I require.

Reliable but expensive. Unfortunately BT/EE/ Openreach full fibre to my house not available yet.
