Summary

Andrews & Arnold Ltd (commonly known as AAISP or A&A) is a Bracknell-based company specialising in high-quality broadband and VoIP services. Founded in 1997 and launching operations in 1998, the company was established to deliver reliable connectivity for more discerning users, starting with dial-up ISDN and analogue services featuring fixed IP addresses and SMTP email delivery. Over 27 years later, A&A has evolved into a niche provider of premium broadband, emphasising technical excellence over mass-market scale. It remains independently owned, with a focus on innovation through its in-house research and development team.

Additional Comments

A&A's ethos is captured in its slogan, "Your packets. Our people," underscoring a commitment to low-latency, uncapped connections managed by UK-based technical experts rather than scripted call-centre staff. Unlike larger ISPs, A&A avoids network overload, promising no "evening slowdowns" through proactive capacity monitoring and peering arrangements that ensure it is rarely the bottleneck.

AAISP offers many of its packages with a 1TB monthly limit for £10/month less than the unlimited versions.

AAISP is a provider with a reputation for serving technical users, especially tackling more complex issues with broadband lines. They boldly state they are not a mass market provider, but invite you to consider them if you've been treated badly by other providers and want something better. AAISP is one of the main users of the Firebrick-platform.

Speeds match your line's potential: ADSL service up to 21Mbps, VDSL up to 80Mbps, and FTTP/G.fast hitting gigabit levels (up to 1.6Gbps in some spots). Data allowances start at 500GB monthly (up from 300GB in 2021), with unlimited upgrades for heavy users – or opt for 1TB versions at £10 less. Static IPs, bonded lines for redundancy, and their own FireBrick routers cater to power users running servers or VPNs.

Availability is nationwide via Openreach, with FTTP expanding to 8 million premises by 2025. If you value excellent support, transparency, and a no-nonsense connection over rock-bottom prices, calling the AAISP sales team could be worth consideration.

We've been with AAISP for donkeys years, definitely since before the turn of the century. They're not the cheapest. So why? Support. You phone them. They pick up. You ask your question. They tell you what to do. No messing about. Even if you call at lunch time it's the same. You might get through to someone in sales covering for support. We've never, ever, been disappointed. That's why.

You get what you pay for. A&A are worth the extra. Always helpful and clueful. Best ISP I've found. :)

I recently had a broadband connection-failure (I knew because I received an SMS from AAISP within 30 seconds) ... Fair enough, these things happen, I switched across to 4G via a phone-tether. Once I realised that it was actually a hardware-failure (i.e. not even a power-light) with the older [out-of-warranty] router I gave them a call, asked if they could supply a suitable replacement. Replacement agreed, [inexpensive] invoice arrived straight away via email (via the 4G connection on the phone I was calling them from). I happen to live near-enough to Bracknell, so was able to arrive at their office, talk to *the same person* who I spoke to on the phone, collect a new "self-configuring + pre-labelled" Zyxel router, get back home, plug it in, and get back online (all within the hour) Yes, they might be a bit more expensive than other larger providers, but for service like that, of course I'd recommend them.

These guys are not the cheapest but performance and service are second to none. My detailed comms knowledge dates back to the Teletype era, so I understand what's happening at some level, but the complexity of modern technology is way beyond me. Suspect I phone them more than most. Doesn't matter who you speak to, sales or tech support, you get a straight answer and advice that works. First time. That's why we've stuck with them since our first tentative steps on the Internet in 1997.

Hands-down the best ISP that I've ever used. Staff are clueful, responsive and courteous and the products are cutting-edge yet stable. They are not the cheapest, but they are definitely the best.

I like being able to talk to someone technical, someone who can fix my problems, rather than someone who can write my problem down and pass it to the technical department. That's why I use AAISP!

Excellent support when Openreach couldn't give a whatsit. I'm not particularly savvy but their tech guys even helped me to understand.

I've tried the rest, now I'm with The Best. Great speeds, fabulous service. It's great to speak to people who KNOW what they're talking about, and are passionate about sorting stuff properly for ther customers (and keeping them informed). In fact, when speaking to one of their technical team, I realised it was the only time I've ever spoken to a member of an ISP tech team who obviously knows more than I do in their professional field. :P

Fast, knowledgeable people, honest, feature-rich and very full range of services, IP over 4G, superb IPv6, static IPv4 blocks free, multiple line bonding for higher speeds and reliability, 4G failover. Could never imagine being with anyone else. They are simply _that good_.
