A number of our readers have pointed out that after only a couple of days, the NTL Wireless Broadband website (mentioned in this news article) is already
stating: “We have now reached the number of customers for which this offer was valid. As a result we will not be taking orders for this product in the foreseeable future.”
NTL confirmed that the initial limit of 1,000 customers has been met and the situation will be next reviewed in March, 2003. It certainly appears that the service is extremely popular due to its
competitive pricing and relatively high speeds for a wireless service. If NTL consider the offer to be a success, we may be seeing additional capacity, and more areas covered in the not so
distant future.
