Freedom2Surf users unleashed…

Around 45 minutes to an hour ago, the much awaited BT Central pipe upgrade was finally completed for Freedom2Surf users. It is not clear whether all the users have moved across to the new pipe in
one fell swoop, or are going to be moved in batches. The symptons for users will be a connection drop, and on reconnection they should be on the new pipe with a first hop router of
‘f2s1-hg1.ilford.broadband.bt.net’.

This bandwidth upgrade from BT Wholesale to Freedom2Surf was ordered back in February, but for various reasons BT appear to have taken a lot longer than normal to carry out the installation of the
new bandwidth.
