toob investor INPP transfers equity to debt holders
International Public Partnerships Limited, an investor in toob with around £24.1m has decided not to commit any further capital to toob and plans to transfer its equity to debt holders, retaining a small exposure in toob at £2.6m. INPP has agreed with debt holders that it will retain an entitlement to share in any future value realised upon a sale of toob.
Community Fibre reintroduce mid-contract price rises
Community Fibre have reintroduced mid-contract price rises after running a summer period where prices were locked without mid-contract rises. Customers taking out new contracts will now see a £3/month annual rise in April. The company has flip-flopped on this before, using the mid-contract rise as a sort of promotion for the acquisition of new customers.
Opus Broadband is working on the takeover of TalkTalk’s consumer arm
Sky News has reported that Opus Broadband is working on a bid to take over TalkTalk’s consumer broadband operations through a deal with Alchemy Partners. An insider advised Sky News that the deal was expected to be in the region of £250m. TalkTalk are also in talks with Octopus Investments about the sale of its wholesale business PXC to the Fern Trading group. Alchemy Partners previously owned Lebara (MVNO), which faced financial difficulties in 2019 and managed to turn around the business in part thanks to Alchemy. Alchemy also previously owned Geo Networks, which was a UK-based dark fibre network that was later sold to Zayo.
