BDUK has advised that the National Rolling Open Market Review (NR OMR) has now closed. It collected data from the 6th January to 6th February 2026, with BDUK requesting suppliers to submit their national broadband infrastructure plans so that they can confirm where gigabit broadband exists and where providers plan to build it over the next 3 years. This work helps BDUK build a picture of nationwide broadband services, and it can use this to help drive government funding to provide support to build broadband to places that are not commercially viable in doing so. For more information on this, see the Project Gigabit pages.
The overview of the premises from the NR OMR is as follows:
| Classification | Number of Premises |
| No gigabit, none planned in 3 years | 2,990,617 |
| Under Review* | 2,179,083 |
| Single gigabit provider available or planned | 9,157,988 |
| Multiple gigabit providers available or planned | 16,726,869 |
| Total | 31,054,557 |
* Under Review means that providers have reported existing or planned broadband coverage, but gigabit coverage is unverified, or when planned, there are some risks to delivery.
We are currently working on processing the data from the NR OMR and should have the data available to view on our broadband maps over the coming day. We’ll let you know when this is live.
