Hyperoptic suggesting users try Google DNS – resolved?

Hyperoptic ISP customers may find themselves unable to access services, and their tech support is suggesting people try alternate DNS servers.

Switching to a different name server rather than the default is a common solution for when a broadband providers own name servers are having problems. The default Google DNS servers are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, another set of alternate DNS servers people try are Open DNS 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.

We’re aware of some connection issues caused by technical problems with our servers. Out team is actively investigating and working on a resolution.

Thank you for your patience and understanding – we’re committed to getting you back online as quickly as possible!

The situation is such that the Hyperoptic website is also intermittent, and its unclear if this is part of the server issue or too many people hitting it to look for a status update.

Update 11:13am Hyperoptic is saying the server issue has been resolved so customers are now back online, but the website may still be unavailable
