CityFibre says thousands of homes in Rugby can order its symmetric FTTP services, but we need your help as we've not spotted any yet.

March, Cambridgeshire is the latest town where we've seen CityFibre arrive with their full fibre network.

Salisbury and Mildenhall were set to be the first two areas where the old copper PSTN voice network would be switched off but it is taking longer than expected to get people to adopt the replacement services, so changes to make the need to switch more obvious will happen.

CityFibre is now building FTTP at a pace that firmly locks it in place as the second largest FTTP network in the UK.

The old analogue voice platform run by Openreach is due to switch off in 2025 and in preperation it is stopping to sell copper based services on an increasing number of exchanges to make the eventual switch over simpler.

The CityFibre roll-out in Kettering is a fairly recent addition to out maps and with the roll-out set to expand across the town CityFibre has taken the local MP on a show and tell tour of what is involved in the roll-out.

Openreach in an update on what is going on in Wales has announced their roll-out of full fibre is over 600,000 homes and businesses passed.

The dark nights are receding so after a slightly lower increase than usual during the holiday season we can report our tracking of the Openreach FTTP footprint is showing 9,177,401 premises passed.

Later than the original New Years Day we had hoped for but we've broken the 2 million premises mark for the CityFibre FTTP network.

Chester is the latest area to appear on our maps with coverage via the CityFibre network and is available via TalkTalk or Air Broadband at the retail level.
