CityFibre is telling people that if they live in the Abbey area of the city they are ready for service.

Our tracking of the Openreach FTTP footprint has now reached 8,432,144 premises passed and at the current pace should break the 8.5 million mark in the couple of weeks.

The roll-out by MS3 of its FTTP service has started to appear in Scunthorpe increasing the competition in the large North Lincolnshire town.

30 days ago Openreach announced they had passed the 8 million premises milestone and our tracking of their roll-out has now also passed that point.

It is probably many months before the first homes in Hastings and St Leonards will be able to order full fibre over the CityFibre network but some £30 million is being spent to give people the option.

The suburban village of Binley Woods just outside Coventry is a small project for CityFibre but the full fibre will be welcomed by residents looking for speeds faster than FTTC.

Strike action will mean 40,000 workers at BT and Openreach will walk out disrupting business on Friday 29th July and Monday 1st August.
