We may have missed the start of the offer by a couple of days, but EE is back with its 2 x 100GB of 4G data for just £10 promotions.

While some mobile operators have already started allowing people more freedom on where their bundled minutes, data and text can be used abroad EU legislation is set to ensure this applies to all operators across Europe.

The latest offer from EE is not as exciting as the Dan and Phil promotion in 2014 as you have to top-up the free SIM with £10 to activate the free data offer, but still impressive for those looking to play with 4G.

BT Mobile is Go! Plans start at £5 per month for a basic 500 MB data allowance for BT Broadband customers. BT Mobile is also available without a bundle if you pay a £5 supplement.

The move of BT into the mobile arena is no surprise, but still knowing the prices and details on the initial service are just a few days away perks up a grey morning.

EE has increased the allowance for new customers on its SIM only £15.99 per month contract from 1GB to 2GB and also reduced the price for second line SIM only plans.

The Telegraph is reporting that a deal where Three and O2 merge to create a phone company with 32 million customers is to be announced on Friday 23rd January 2015.

While the Government has got agreement from the major mobile operators to improve mobile coverage and is spending other money to improve coverage it seems landowners may remain a stumbling block.

It seems the mobile operators have chosen to invest some £5bn rather than risk the Government force various other plans on them to improve mobile coverage across the UK.

It is easy to panic over the potential for the auction of a 2.3 GHz band that is very close to the Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz band to wipe out most Wi-Fi hot-spot access but testing by Ofcom suggests the issue is not a major one.
