Netomnia who by virtue of owning two networks can call themselves the second largest full fibre alt-net in the United Kingdom is refining its brand identity.

The branding focuses on the phrase “WHERE THE MOST POWERFUL INTERNET LIVES” which is said to strengthen the previous statement of “a fibre network built for whatever comes next“. Of course branding does not mean more homes can order a service or existing services go faster, but can help to drive company focus and communicate those to ideals to the general public.

“This is more than a design change. It’s a signal of the company we’ve become – powerful, ambitious, and building the UK’s third fibre infrastructure. Where the most powerful internet lives is both our idea and our promise.”

Jeremy Chelot, Group CEO of Netomnia, YouFibre and brsk

“Our ambition demanded a brand as bold as our vision. This evolution reflects not just how we look, but how we position ourselves in the market. Having grown from a startup into the UK’s second-largest Alt-Net, every element of our identity – from the circular motif to our confident typography – tells the story of a company built for whatever comes next.”

Swapnil Khapekar, Head of Marketing at Netomnia

Netomnia state they have a service footprint of 2.8 million premises and of those 400,000 are connected and the footprint is growing by around 1 million premises a year. The ambition being to reach a footprint of 5 million premises for 2027.

Our tracking has them at 2.6 million premises ready for service as of 23rd September 2025 which is just under 900,000 premises higher than a year ago.

In terms of the statement from Jeremy Chelot of being the UK’s third fibre infrastructure, we think this is wrong, since Openreach are massively bigger, Virgin Media O2 and CityFibre also have bigger footprints. It is possible that Netomnia is discounting the RFOG FTTP and Project Mustang footprints from Virgin Media O2 and only counting nexfibre which aligns with the statement from the CEO.

To make tracking the footprints easier we merged the YouFibre and brsk footprints into a single Netomnia layer on our broadband maps earlier in the week. The two different networks are plotted with different colours so its easy to see where their rollouts are very close to each other.

  1. “Where the most powerful internet lives is both our idea and our promise”
How can “most powerful Internet” be a promise when its literally a meaningless phrase? By all means have a silly catchy slogan, but don’t try to tell us it actually means anything.
