The old analogue voice platform run by Openreach is due to switch off in 2025 and in preperation it is stopping to sell copper based services on an increasing number of exchanges to make the eventual switch over simpler.

In the 30 days since 12th November 2022 we've found and added 257,054 premises passed by Openreach FTTP to our databases taking the total to 8,946,376 premises.

The next set of new Openreach FTTP roll-out locations means the operator is building in some 2,800 cities, boroughs, towns, villages or hamlets. In an attempt to help people understand the when and if Openreach has also changed its roll-out map to give a better idea of when.

At 300 metres above sea level a property that has never had a phone line now has full fibre broadband and Openreach plan to push on to the summit of Yr Wyddfa in Spring.
