Uswitch is making the claim that 1.3 million households in the UK are using satellite broadband and this has been blindly repeatedly by other sites therefore misleading the UK public.

BT and Openreach is working towards converting its 28,000 van fleet to pure electric by 2030.

This is usually the time of year the ISPA Awards night is taking place but with the pandemic impacting on calendars we will have to wait till 4th November to find out who the actual winners are.

One of the side effects of tracking what sort of broadband is available in new properties means we can also see how much building activity is happening. In the 10 months of data from 2020 so far the volume of new properties is set to be the lowest for at least eight years.

Later than usual this year, but ISPA is seeking nominations for the Internet Hero category that will be awarded on 18th November 2020.

The number of new homes being built in 2020 has shrunk significantly with only 60,183 identified in 2020 compared to 95,022 at the same point back in 2019.

Like so many other events that were due to talk place this summer the 22nd ISPA Awards have shuffled themselves around the calendar and finally the shortlists for each category can be shared.

ISPA has announced the nominees for the Internet Hero and Internet Villain categories with the winners to be announced at the awards ceremony in London on Thursday 11th July 2019.

With just over four weeks to go it is time to nominate who the ISPA Council should consider for the awards Internet Hero and Internet Villain on 11th July 2019.

The ISPA Awards are now in their 21st year and as usual the categories have opened for registration in December with registration running well in January 2019.
