The CityFibre roll-out in Gloucester is now taking orders and doing installs in Gloucester using the retail ISP Air Broadband

Nottingham has been on the CityFibre roll-out timetable for a while and now the first area in the Wollaton Park area has been mapped as live.

We are gradually closing in on the 1.1 to 1.2 million premises CityFibre say their network is available to. Solihull has been added to our maps in the last two weeks.

The Virgin Media DOCSIS 3.1 switch-on is very much on course to end possibly by New Years Eve 2021 at the current pace.

Last week saw CityFibre make the claim its network was available to some 1 million premises across the UK and after adding some new areas a few postcodes appear to have slipped to almost live.

The UK is on course to break the 60% Gigabit coverage barrier with the latest wave of Virgin Media DOCSIS 3.1 areas.

The difference between the 1 million premises passed and our tracking of the roll-out is so large that we believe the 1 million figure includes areas where we need to play catch-up on our maps.

The Q2 2021/22 results for BT Group show that in the last quarter the Openreach network went from 5,165,000 premises passed to 5,780,000.

We've been adding to the CityFibre footprint for a few weeks now in the Harrogate area and believe we've got the majority of what is live now in our systems.
