The NBN for Australia has been watered down and it seems even the VDSL2 is going to be limited to 12 or 25 Mbps because of the need to co-exist with ADSL2+ services.

An extension project has been signed for Wales with Airband to bring superfast to some 2,000 business premises and BT another 40,000.

The Western Isles were for a long time the part of the UK with no superfast broadband but in the last couple of weeks we noticed cabinets going live and now the HIE has issued the official announcement.
